We all agree that Shiskine is a great place to come and play golf - it takes just over 2 hours to play a round (12 holes) here.

But what happens if some of your group maybe don't play golf? Well rest assured there is plenty to see & do nearby.

There is a wonderful sandy stretch of beach at Blackwaterfoot where you can go for a pleasant walk or in the summer in for a swim. Even on a wild and windy day it is fascinating to watch the big white rollers tumbling in from the Kilbrannan Sound. Plenty of wildlife to spot as well!

2 hours gives you plenty of time to go on one of the most popular walks on the west coast  -  the King's Caves. Click here   for a detailed guide to this walk. Drumadoon cliffs are spectacular and is a site of special scientific interest.

If your partner is away playing golf, then how about some pony trekking / horse riding. There are superb stables in Blackwaterfoot and a popular trek is along the sandy beach.  Cairnhouse Stables

And don't forget we also have....

  • A wonderful Clubhouse (The Tee Room) serving great food

  • PGA Professional golf shop

  • 2 all weather tennis courts

  • An all weather bowling green

  • A putting green

  • Superb views and plenty of pleasant short walks

In Blackwaterfoot itself there is...

A short circular walk with spectacular views and the opportunity for spotting plenty of wildlife. Finish it off with a homemade scone and tea at The Tee Room!

While your partner is playing golf why not take yourself and the kids for some horse riding. Dawn is fully qualified and the horses are very well cared for.
